The first step in using eBCalc is to decide whether your auction is a
Single Item Auction or a
Multiple Item Auction. A Single Item Auction is when
you create one listing on eBay and offer one item for sale. A
Multiple Item Auction is when you create one listing but offer
multiple items for sale within that one listing. Mutiple item listings are used when you have
multiple, identical, items for sale. For example, if I had 10 hammers that I wanted to sell on eBay, rather than
creating 10 individual listings (one for each hammer), I could create one multiple item listing and
offer all 10 hammers for sale within that one listing. In Multiple Item Listings eBay displays a special field called
"Quantity" which lets potential buyers know how many of the item the seller currently has. To tell eBCalc whether you
are listing an item as a Single Item Auction or a Multiple Item Auction simply choose
the approriate option in the box in the top right hand corner of the screen...
Both Single Item Auctions and Multiple Item Auctions come with their own unique set of options. When you choose what type of auction you are listing (Single or Multiple), eBCalc
will load up the appropriate options for that type of auction. I'll discuss each one individually. First, let's go over
Single Item Auctions. If you choose Single Item from the Number Of Items
box, you should see this see this screen...
This box, entitled Type of Auction - Single Item shows you all of the different options available for a
Single Item Auction type listing. As you can see it is divided into 3 sections. The first section allows
you to choose what type of Single Item Auction you are creating (No Reserve,
Reserve, or
Fixed Price). The second section allows you to choose whether
or not you are listing an item on eBay Real Estate (and if so, what type
of Real Estate you are selling). The third and final section allows you to specify whether or not you are listing an
item on eBay Motors (and if so, what type of eBay Motors item you are selling).
Next, let's discuss what each of these options mean.
